Long overdue ballet exam results

That shocked both me and my teacher.

here was the email, you know the kind that people see and start screaming over:

WELL DONE TIFFANY - YOU GOT DISTINCTION!!

THE REPORT does not have marks as such, it has 4 categories - fail, pass, merit and DISTINCTION!!!!
I am so impressed with that!!

So now we're on to concert work
and I'm making up a 3&1/2 min dance which is lonnnnnnnnnnggggg [in dancing circles] for a different concert [Raise]
Awesome music, you'll get to see it if you come to the Ballet concert ;-)
I plan to do the spilts in it [*plan*]
so if you're interested here's a thing that will [supposedly help you do it in a week]

Try having a light cardio for 4-5 minutes. Then go into light, easy stretches such as touching your toes (or going as close as you can) ten times while breathing deeply. Then separate your legs a little take a deep breath, touch the floor (or as close as you can get without ANY pain), then exhale. Repeat five times. Then sit on the floor with legs together and touch your toes once more doing the breathing technique aforementioned. Repeat five times. Then separate your legs and reach for you left leg, the the the floor in front of you then your other leg.

After warming up your legs, begin kneeling lunges. Go as far as you can, stop, take a deep breath and then slow flex and unflex the muscle. Then do a reverse lunge (as performed in video I'll link you to). Then repeat your kneeling lunges. This should last around five minutes. Then put your back foot against a couch or chair (know as Lunge with back leg against a wall/box on the site I'm going to link you to). Repeat three times resting between each one. Now go into your split as far as you can without pain (you should just feel tension and/or slight pain or slight uncomfort). Then pull up, relax for thirty seconds, stand up and shake your legs, and then repeat your lunges for around a minute, do your split and hold for thirty seconds once more. Then repeat everything with your other leg.

For side splits. You should do frog stretches butterflies, and then v-sit stretches mentioned in the warm-up. Then do side ways lunges and then push up, with hips square and knees pointed to the ceiling, against a wall. Then hold for one minute. Repeat this three times. Then go into a straddle split as you would normally and hold for thirty seconds.

Cool down. Just use the stretches from your warm-up but backwards slowly, and carefully. This transitions your body from excercising mode and reduces chance of injury.

P.S.: You may feel numbness during stretching which is GOOD it means your doing the exercises properly. Also, the next morning you may have slight soreness. This is because your body isn't used to stretch but eventually it will. If this happens don't stretch to intensely. But do stretch. Just do your warm-up and cool-down (the first paragraph is warm up, second is front splits, third is side splits, and fourth is cool down). If you continue to feel discomfort after exercising it means your doing it wrong, too fast/to hard for your body, or your warm-up/cool-down isn't long enough. Just relax for a day, and then start anew with a longer warm-up, less intense stretching, and a longer cool down.
Hope I helped
There done finally

An Interview

Question 1: Give us your name (not last name for safety reasons), age (optional), location, hobbies, interests, etc. Basically, introduce yourself! :)
Hello I'm Tiffany.I am a born Kiwi, no not a bird ;) I love reading, writing, dancing, historical reenacting,  sewing well a whole lot of stuff. I am homeschooled teenager.

Question 2: How did you become born again?
Well that is a question.I was born into a Christian family so I've know about the Lord all my life.I gave my life to the Lord at the age of five, but nothing really "happened"  it seemed to me anyway. Well when I was 12 I fully realised the extent of my sin. I got baptized in Feburary the soonest possible.

Question 3: What is your current walk with the Lord like?
Like nothing I ever expected.Strange and wonderful high and low.
At the moment I am mostly just learning how really wise He is and beginning to grasp just how big.

Question 4: How do you help and serve your family?
Cooking, things like that, I'm sure I could do a lot more.

Question 5: How do you serve others?
Well the biggest thing would be writing with the organizer of this great interview- Esther, we do a girls magazine JoJ [The latest issue is on Esther's blog, have a peek !]

Question 6: What are some of your favourite things?
Writing -which has actually been since I've become a Christian, strange huh?
Dancing, Reading a good [morally] book that starts with a bang and keeps the attention held all the way through.Hash browns.

Question 7: What are some of your struggles?
Temper. Words. Thoughts.

Question 8: What encouragement do you have to give?
God made you as you are, and He loves you for that, why if He made the autumn leaves beautiful, do you think because of your sin, He missed you out? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
This doesn't mean you shouldn't exercise, every one should.
And also be very careful in what you say of other's physical apperance. I have a very special friend who is teased because of her "width" some don't mean to hurt her, but she really does feel it.To me she is a really lovely girl but she won't see this if people do not tell her. And that is really sad, but it mustn't be left 'til the moment when she has heard it soo many times she believes she's ugly and will laugh at you if you say otherwise. So be extra careful.

I decided I'd bore you...

...So I'll do just that. I've got choir tonight I'm a soprano [highest female voice group] I can [just] sing an A# one octave about mC, if that interests you, wait it doesn't and if you say anything is interesting in this post I won't believe you. I've sewn the elastics [that go round the ankle] on my pointes.
Oh by the way I can draw [ahem, only females in historical costume and mountains mostly]And I wish I knew how to put pictures on my blog, but'll ask Dad, it looks a bit bleak without them. I barely know anything about computers.
So continue my train of thought, I'm going to read my A night of characters for DB [to explain DB in this post is the best time I think] In short its our writing group and it stands for Dead Boring, see told ya it'd fit :),  and perfect for us budding authors to get good comments and things to work on and hear others [awesome!]  stories.
Ok I've got to go eat tea. I hope you missed the last line, because you were snoring [that might be a bit harsh] Ok you were taking your beauty sleep and are very sorry you missed the, end but when you reach the end again your in the place were dreams are woven.

En pointe

Today we went to Chch and I got my point shoes.I know I've been dead set against them but the ballet lines aren't quite the same, I changed my mind after seeing The RNZB [royal nz ballet] teehee t'is funny how things change. It's sooo awesome being up En [on] they feel slightly wrong if you aren't up En and as you roll up well thats a different matter. They don't really hurt, more of an ache but then I wasn't up for long sooo yeah. I will be doing more stuff at ballet,  I've been up En several times at home [naughty me :)] but I watched the girls go up last year soo I know the right angle etc. Sorry to bore all non-ballet-ists but I'm really excited, wish I could take a photo.Has anyone had DB idea's thanks to my last post, teeeheee heee.
